Hospital information system has been a common practice in major hospitals nationwide, it is not merely a symbol of modernization of hospital management, but has become one of the core competitiveness as well, it has become an important part of the sustainable development of the hospital.In the process of hospital information system construction and development, the factors such as the complexity of the system and the changes of the environment, will bring a large number of risks, especially in the stage of operation and maintenance. There are many reasons cause the risks, which can severely affect the system, the risk control in the stage of operation and maintenance is the key problem which decides whether the hospital information system can be operated stably.In this thesis, the author summarizes the features of the stage of operation and maintenance of the hospital information system, takes a view as an administrator of the operation and maintenance of the hospital information system to discuss the imortance of the risk control, which can improve the quality of operation and maintenance, and ensure the stability of the hospital information system. Take example by the operation and maintenance of Zhongshan Hospital Information System, the main idea of the thesis is to discuss the research on the risk control in the stage of operation and maintenance of HIS.The purpose of this theis is looking for the main cause of the risks and proposing effective solutions after risk identification and analysis.In risk identification, WBS, one of the project management tools, is used to help us to get job elements in detail. By a questionnaire survey we identify the main causes of risks, and find that the risks can be classified. It includes the causes in management and the causes in technology.The main cause in management is unclear responsibilities and division of labor, To identify practical solutions, responsibity assigentment matrix is necessary to established; The main cause in technology is the lack of effective risk control plans,as effective solutions, we try to make plans in terms of risk identification, risk disposal and risk mornitoring. The core tactic is "Prevention comes first, assisted by mornitoring".This plan will be improved and be perfect throuth initially. Then it will be taken advantage of to control risks. Finally, this thesis suggest to establish an information platform.To the administrator of the hospital information system, this thesis can provide some ideas about how to reduce the impact of risks and prevent risks in the stage of the operation and matainance of HIS. It is believed to play a certain role to the risk control, which can also ensure the stability of the hospital information system.
