The Collaborative Quality Management Research Into The Supply Chain

The research purpose of this paper is to explore system model for supply chain collaborative quality management (SCCQM), ensuring effective transferring and distributing of product quality in supply chain. The combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis and empirical study are used on the research in line with characteristic of the topic.Above all, a general study summary of supply chain quality management is presented, based on literature review of quality management theory. This paper makes an analysis on new issues of supply chain quality management and conceptualizes supply chain quality management.Secondly, before developing system model for SCCQM, this paper extracts seven potential factors affecting supply chain quality, which are management leadership, HR, customer focus, quality data, supplier quality management, product design and process management, and a structural equation model (SEM) is developed and tested through path analysis using data collected from automotive industry in China. Three direct factors, four meditating factors and fifteen causal relationship affecting supply chain quality are identified, providing suggestions on supply chain collaborative quality management.Thirdly, according to results of SEM, information system for SCCQM is preliminarily established based on distributed computer system, in which supply chain members'quality management information system are connected by internet and CORBA. Collaborative quality management is realized by using distributed software system.Finally, the collaborative quality management models for product design, process management and supplier quality management, which are main factors that affect SCCQM, are discussed in details.
