The internet of things has been put forward as the next hundreds of millions level industry. Their goal is to make the internet of things the next newly developing industry which can promote the world economy development. Since"The 11th Five-Year Plan"of our country and the policy of information industry are consistent, the internet of things has been brought into the important, new-pattern strategic industries of our country. At present, the province of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, Beijing and Shanghai have made plans, supportive policies and professional demonstrations in their areas respectively.From the perspective of developing plans of local areas, at present the country or area, which promote the internet things to the position of "taking a strategic view" or"giving a priority", there must be the economic and scientific developed fast, or have a better fountain in the field of production, teaching and research. As a behindhand province in the economy and technology in our country, Guangxi has to seize the opportunity of the era of The internet of things to make great-leap-forward development.The internet of things will make great contribution to the change of industrial structure in Guangxi, and it has its special effect on local development. Guangxi province is located in the boundary between China and ASEAN, and also the Pearl River Delta. With the advantages of geography and international trade, the potential of constant-developing economy and technology, and also some application experience of small area, the internet of things will progress day after day.Beginning with some relevant conceptions, structures and industry characters of the internet of things, this dissertation will introduce the function of it in relevant fields and will analyze the commercial opportunity which it will bring. At the same time, this dissertation discusses some relevant theories in the internet of things and the development of its industrial chain. It also introduces the development situations at home and abroad, and the development model in Europe and East Asia. This dissertation emphasizes on the key elements of the internet of things in Guangxi province from a macroscopic view and raises some relevant strategies and suggestions. It will be a useful exploration in the development of the internet of things in Guangxi province.
