Xinjiang is China's largest cotton planting base.Cotton production,cotton acreage and cotton output are occupied the first in the country.Cotton is Xinjiang's business card and a white pillar industry in Xinjiang.By 2015,the cotton acreage has reached 1.9 million hectares and cotton production has reached 3.54 million tons.The cotton industry's developing promoted the development of agricultural economy and increased the income of farmers in Xinjiang.However,in recent years,seed quality and safety events often occur and the seed management system is not perfect.They not only brought huge pecuniary loss to enterprises and farmers and shake the confidence of using seeds to farmers,but also restricted the healthy development of seed industry.In order to promote the healthy development of seed market,ensuring cotton seed quality and security,protecting the certified rights and benefits of the farmers.Establishing the traceability system of cotton seed is important measure to solve the current seed quality problems.With the development of information technology,RFID technology and EPC technology is more and more widely used in the traceability system of agricultural products.RFID technology and EPC networking technology has become a hot research field to experts and scholars.The choosing cotton as the research object and taking the supply chain as the starting point is to achieve the traceability of the cotton information and share the information among the enterprises in this paper.This paper proposed a traceability model of supply chain which was based on the combination of RFID and EPC Internet of Things,and developed cotton seed supply chain traceability platform based on RFID technology.This research summarized agricultural product chain and traceability system at home and abroad fi.Detailed introduced the advantages of using them in cotton supply chain tracing based on RFID and EPC Internet of Things.Secondly,through analyzing current advantages and disadvantages about existing tracing mode,proposed a new tracing mode based on RFID and EPC Internet Things,and established cotton supply chain traceability platform based on RFID technology to solve the cotton seed quality problem and to achieve information sharing among enterprises.Then,mainly in-depth studied the overall structure,function modules,EPC coding design,Object Name Service,and EPC information services so on.At last,this research designed and developed cotton supply chain traceability platform based on RFID with the program language of C#,ASP.NET technology and the database of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 under developed platform of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.This traceability platform achieved cotton information tracing in the whole supply chain,realized cotton information sharing,ensured the quality and safety of cotton seed and improved the production efficiency of enterprises.This object supplied a theoretical orientation and technology support for building cotton supply chain traceability system and significant reference importance and main worth to resolve the quality and safety of other agricultural products in China.
