Source Of Value Research

The problem of value source is the key one of Marx' s labor theory of value, whose major conception is what creates the commodity value whether labors or factors of production and what labor creates valueo Marx believed that the man' s labor (abstract labor) is the unique source. Although many scholars once suspected the theory and now new situation and problems are continually confronted, deepening the value source is not only the theoretical demands, but also the ones of the social economy. As a result the theory research is of significantly theoretical and practical sense.The thesis puts emphasis on the problem of value source and in historical and realistic perspective studies the development, challenge of the times and theoretical research about it, and is in combination with new practice, under the condition that Marx' s theory that labor is the unique source of value is upheld. The author analyzes new changes of contemporary labors from the connotation and extension of labor in creating value and accounts for the value source systematically in the modern times.Three chapters in this article are as follows:(一) The author comes to conclusions that living labor is the unique source and the theory is the unique scientific constatation after analyzing and appreciating the different value source in light of the theories of the labor value, the factor value utility theory of value and the equilibrium price.(二) The author classifies and appreciates the different points in history and comes to realize that most scholars still stick to Marx' s theory although some present different views.
