Consumption is one of the most important economical phenomena in today's society. Since enter the consumption society, consumption has spanned economical aera to be a social and cultural phenomenon. In traditional meaning, consumption is always thought as be opposed to and decided by producing and a midst tache in social producing. Max thought that, producing decided consumption and the object and the form of the consumption. But he also thought that, on the other hand, consumption has the identity with producing. Many economists also give enough regard to it. This essay discuss the relationship of producing and consumption first, and try to bring forward that producing determinism is not tenable.Since 1950's, western city has entered the consumed times; the concept of consumption has changed, so as the concept of goods. The usefulness of goods has converted from the practicability and corporality into subjectivity. Goods has more symbolical meaning. Famous philosophical economist Jean·Baudrillard has proved that if a res wants to be goods, it must has symbolical meaning. In this background, consumption has catabolized. Consumption didn't reflect people's real need anymore. It becomes a tool under the control of commercial and opposes to people's ultimate benefit. I try to animadvert on consumption dissimilation, pointing out that we have to establish socialistic harmonious consumption notion.
