| Consumption is the principal problem of human's life. Along with the rapid growth of the society and the abundant in materials, the connotation and manner of consumption have changed a lot. Many Chinese and foreign scholars have study the phenomenon of consumption through Ethnology, Semeiology and Sociology.Stand on Marxism, this paper try to survey consumption over again. First, Marx dissertated the relationship between production and consumption under capitalism economically. In Marxist theory,consumption will have qualitative change because of the alienation of labour, which could result in fetishism. Secondly, Western Marxists carried forward and developed Marx's therory, and provided complete reserch on consumption. Stand on daily life, Henri Lefebvre pointed out that men's need had changed from nature to variation. Marcuse , exponent of Frankfurt School ,considered that the illusive consumption make people become one-mentional persons under the controlling of the mordern industy socity. Baudrillard get a close attention to relationship between Marxism and Symbols. In his opinion, symbol makes consumption a no consumer itself ,but the symbol behind the commodity. Then, the article analyzes the negative problems of consumption and reasons that cause them in a Socialist market economy of China. Finally, it try to find realistic ways to build harmonious Socialist society in the way of combining the consumption therory of Marxism and Chinese traditional culture. |
