Hunan VaLin Lianyuan Iron and steel Co.Ltd.(hereinafter referred as LYSTEEL GROUP) is a state-owned iron and steel production company. It now possesses the whole lines technologies of Coke-making,sintering, Iron-making, steel-making,steel-rolling and so on. In recent years, LYSTEEL group develops rapidly. Now it become a large-scale industry company with total assets over 17 billion RMB and the capacity of production capacity of to 4.5million tons. With the fast development in industry of iron and steel, the competition in market international and domestic steel will become more and more fierce. Now, LYSTEEL group faces three challenges: strategic transformation,new technology and scientific management. At present, the problem which LG strategy management must solve urgently is how to make a strategic of product to promote company development and make it come true.This article researches the basic theory and main process of product strategy and also make clear its analysis and thought on the basis of some related research results. Based on this, designing indexes such as unit transportation cost and the influence of transportation cost, and applying models of SWOT and PPM, I analyses the major factor which influenced the strip product strategy and raises a target for it. My opinion is that through those five ways of leading guarantee, organization guarantee, planning system, resource allocation and marketing management, to perform the strip product strategy.
