| Cities are the concentration centers or radiant points of an area's political, culture, economy and information. Population, enterprises and economical actions concentrate together in cities to make special effect-agglomeration effect. Through concentration we can easily share the commonly establishment, save our expenses and get more revenue. What is more, expediently get technology and market information to enhance our efficiency, less cost to promote specialization developmentAs the process of urbanization, urban agglomeration effect has made obvious effect on economics. Much perfect production, finance, information, technology service, concentrate and more scale markets. Because of these, cities have advantages on technology, information and human resource. But, while the urban scale becomes much bigger, some negative effects come out. Such as, congestion, environment, which would be wasted and hold up urban scale to become much bigger. As a measurement index, primacy has notable impact on area's economic growth. The primate city is the center city of a country and act as an important role in the area's urban system. What is more, it also brings along the development of economics and society in the area and holds the balance in the process of economics increasing. Thus, studying on urban primacy index has given more and attention by the academe.This paper studies on the relationship between the regional urban primacy index and economical growth. The whole paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter simply introduces the effect of urban scale on economical growth, the important significance of the studies and the structure of the paper. The second chapter is the economics theory analysis of urban scale on economical growth. Firstly review the process of urban development and urbanization. Then make the economics theory analysis of urban scale on economical growth, last review the status quo of research on this theme. The third chapter is empirical study, including the introduction of the choice of variables and empirical model, using panel data model, analyzing the impact of every variables on economic growth, for example, area, population. At last, make a conclusion of the whole paper and make some suggestions. |
