The rationality of the distribution of urban scale structure is an important symbol to measure the development level of a region. The central city plays an important role in stimulating the development of regional economy and promoting the process of urbanization. It is very important to explain the size distribution of regional cities, which is led by the central city, and analyze the reasons for the formation of the regional cities. At present, our country's policy tends to rationally layout the scale of a region, promote the coordinated development of large cities and small and medium-sized cities, and enhance the comprehensive carrying capacity of small and medium-sized cities.Reasonable distribution of city scale can promote the development of regional economy, rationality of structure of city size distribution is an important sign to measure the level of regional development, but also reflects the mode of regional economic development is not balanced and effective. In the region of mega cities as the center of the urban agglomeration has become the main form of China's urban system. The purpose of this paper is to further understand the formation of urban agglomeration and its influencing factors, and further reveal the inherent law of the growth of urban agglomerations to provide theoretical basis for the construction of urban agglomerations. This paper focuses on the analysis of the city size distribution and its influencing factors. The research is divided into five chapters. The first chapter the research content and significance of the research methods, the research on the topic of the second chapter;work to carry out the relevant research at home and abroad were reviewed;the third chapter reviews the related theory of city agglomeration and scale of industry. From the timing of the existing and different schools of economies of scale theory, from the perspective of economies of scale to explain the impact of industrial agglomeration on the primacy of the city. The conclusion is drawn that industrial agglomeration plays a role in urban primacy. And put forward the city first degree of other factors, the possibility of the analysis;the fourth chapter of the concept of the primacy of the city detailed description and definition. The analysis of the first degree and the change law of the first degree. In addition to the municipalities and the lack of data in Qinghai,Xinjiang,Tibet,China's 24 provinces from 2003 to 2013,the first degree, according to the eastern, central and western parts of the classification and comparative analysis. From the city size distribution system evolution theory to explain why level of provincial differences and timing changes;the fifth chapter use location entropy as the main explanatory variables, and the introduction of industrial structure, traffic conditions, higher education, the use of foreign capital and the level of urbanization and other explanatory variables for the regression of the first city of the first degree of provincial region. It is concluded that with the increase of the degree of industrial agglomeration, regional cities will be closer to the first distribution. This paper through the statistical analysis of China's provincial city of the first degree and discuss the influence factors of city primacy, and influence on the primacy factors of theoretical analysis and empirical regression, the regression results show the location entropy and degree of the first city has to close, mainly for the positive correlation.Industrialization promotes the absorptive capacity of small and medium-sized cities to the population, which makes the size of small and medium-sized cities expand, and the scale of regional cities tends to be balanced. The role of the first city in regional economic development has been affirmed.
