International Competitiveness Of China's Telecom Operation Research

With the acceleration of the economic globalization process, the step of liberalism of international trade is also fastened. The material foundation of the economic globalization is the information industry, which is founded by the telecommunications industry. The telecommunication industry is the basic industry of offering the public service for every walk of life, performance of which not only restrict the industry's own operation performance but also influence the whole development level of national economy. The telecommunication industry is becoming more and more important in information age.The telecommunication industry is becoming one of the largest influence on economy and society. Meanwhile, it is also an industry facing many new challenges. The Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party clearly put forward some guidelines for the development of the EleventhFive-Year Plan of the National Economy Development in our county, such as requiring that the continuous implementation of scientific development concept, transforming the growth mode, the self-creation and innovation abilities should be especially consolidated, meanwhile, the information industry should be taken as the first important industry to be developed, these guidelines have great important guiding significance for the development of our information telecommunications industry. These indicate the importance of telecommunication industry.Since the commencement of the implementation of the reform and opening to the reform and opening to the outside world, China's telecommunication industry has got great success in its development. After more than 20 years' development, great changes have taken place in Chinese telecommunications industry which attracts worldwide attention. The telecommunications system reform as well as the introduction of open-market policy and the competition system is moving forward step by step. But under the impact of liberalism of international telecommunications industry, Chinese telecommunications industry is facing an increasingly complex and changeful market environment. The important significances for enhancing the market-implementation level of idea, decision-making and behavior, etc. Therefore, it is necessary for the researchers to study on how to promote international competition ability of the Chinese telecommunications industry.By applying M.E. Porter's "diamond model" and some other theory of international competition ability, this paper comparisons and empirical studies were carried out on the international competition ability of telecommunications industry of China which comprises system competition ability, market competition ability and corporation competition ability. Then the strengths and weaknesses of the Chinese telecommunications industry in the competition were discussed. Based on the bottleneck that restricts further development of Chinese telecommunications industry, some advices are given to help promote the international competition ability of Chinese telecommunications industry. I hope the paper give a help to the development of telecommunication industry.
