In order to increase their competition ability, enterprises continuously establish and implement IS09001,IS014001 and OHSAS18001. IS09001,IS014001. But each management system is just a part of the whole management system, involving a lot of compatibility. If we establish and implement them seperately, it will definitely cause much waste in resources. Therefore, implementing IMS has become increasingly necessary for enterprises.The research on the scientificalness and feasibility of IMS (integrated management system) within enterprises has been made by many scholars at home and abroad, but there is still lack of research on the performance of IMS. Difficulties in obtaining the demonstrative data to make a conclusion in this area result in little progress for many enterprises to be engaged in IMS. This research introduces an approach of empirical study and the author works over the existing circumstance and performance of IMS among Chinese enterprises, on basis of substantive data of actual performance of integrated process within many enterprises. The author investigates the existing circumstance and major drive of enterprises implementing IMS and then roots out the differences among different industries, ownership systems and capital scales in implementing IMS. Subsequently, the author makes an analysis on the comprehensive performance of IMS and key factors which may leverage the IMS implementation, identifies the major influential factors of IMS implementation, and makes recommendations to different categories of enterprises.
