With the development of economic globalization, the competition in cable and wire manufacturing is confronted with the huge challenge. The market is globe but our competitors are all over the world. The manufacturers'competition focus is how to produce the high quality product with the lowest cost within shortest time.we research the lean thinking and the lean principle. Then take the lean thinking into design system and make the lean design model. Based on the lean model, we develop our cable and wire design review system to lean design system for wire and cable. We used the QFD to transform customer requirements into cable desing characters, and distinguished the character's importance. We used the cost management theory to equal cost and function. For Important characters, we used the most resource. For unimportant characters, we could reduce cost for the characters. We used the value engineering theory to evalue the design blue printers.To make our design engineers to use these conveniently, we made the tools of cable designing to support the system. It will reduce the waste and cost if our designer following the design system.. Last we run the system to prove its'practicable and feasibility.
