With undergoing changes of world economic structure, economic globalization, with characteristics of cross-border investment and operating, has become to be an unchangeable trend. Market economy, as an important mechanism of allocating production element, is also moving into globalization, which makes each government pay more attention to allocate production resources within the world. Apart from foreign trade, direct investment abroad has become a means for developed countries to establish a new world economic order. Developing countries are also beginning to emphasis on its new status in the international environment and employing direct investment abroad to improve the current situation.China has achieved great success in attracting foreign direct investment, but the level of direct investment abroad in China lags far behind developed countries. Therefore, it is the most pressing task to actively expand the scale of China's direct investment abroad and guide more enterprises to "go out". But when expanding the scale of direct investment abroad, we must focus on the quality of direct investment abroad , so that it can lead to the long-term development of Chinese economic development.Based on the analysis of American experiences in location, industry and how to make use of government on direct investment abroad, I put forward the problems exist in China direct investment abroad, and provide corresponding solving measures for them. .The basic structure is as follows:Chapter I introduces five represitative theroy of foreign direct outward from western economics, defines the direct investment abroad and analyzes relationships between direct investment abroad and economic growth in one country.Chapter II introduces and summarizes the developing characteristics of every stage of American direct investment abroad.Chapter III analyses the role of the United States government in direct investment abroad. Chapter IV analyses American direct investment abroad's impact on its economy: with related theory to explain it from the direction of macroeconomic and microeconomic. Based on the macro level of the first quarter: with foreign trade multiplier Keynesian theory to analyzes how the United States of direct investment abroad influence the United States domestic consumption and investment and lead to more export; Using Michael Porter competitiveness to explain it can provide raw materials American enterprise; with marginal production expansion theory to explain it can upgrade the industrial structure; using "replacement effect" and "stimulating effect" to explain how direct investment abroad of American influences employment levels. Section II based on micro-level analysis: with the theoretical analysis of transnational corporations to explain the United States direct investment abroad's expect on the multinational corporations.Chapter V puts forward problems of location, industrial distribution and the role of the government in China and then provides appropriate measures.The innovation in this paper: 1. comprehensively analyze characteristics of America direct investment abroad; 2. Based on the micro-and macro-level, using related theory to explain the American direct investment abroad's expect on its economy; 3.based on the experience of American direct investment abroad, I put forward the problems exist in China direct investment abroad, and provide corresponding solving measures for them.
