The modern companies take more and more efforts to research and development on new projects in order to increase the competitive attributes of the product and extend marketing share. Firstly, build the GERT model of the project by the Random network technology; Secondly, describe the procedure and method of the setup and analytical algorithm of the GERT model on the basis of the conclusion on the theory of the analysis with the detail example of the R&D project on the motherboard; Then, based on the recursive simplification algorithm of GERT model, Crystal Ball software is developed. Simulate the model of the R&D project on motherboard and get the statistical eigenvalues and probability distribution chart of the project finish time; Finally, take an deep step to deduce statistically on the project finish time in order to provide quantitative reference of the scheduling control and decision-making on the project by taking account of the result of the analysis and simulation.
