Farmers 'professional Cooperatives Impact On Farmers' Income

Peasant's specialized cooperative is an institutional innovation. The cooperative solves the confliction between the peasants and the market, and it is the best medi-organization for peasants. It's tenet is to improve the status of peasants in the market, increase the income of peasants; and help peasants gain more benefit in the market competition. After tens of years' development, peasant's specialized cooperatives of our country has entered the reform era. It is both theoretical and practical signficance for us to estimate the influence of peasant's specialized cooperatives to peasants' income and their behavior scientifically, it not only can help us to clearly grasp the actuality development of peasant's specialized cooperatives of our country, but also can provide suggestions to the further development of peasant's specialized cooperatives of our country.The thesis firstly reviews and summarizes the literatures on the development of the peasant's specialized cooperatives and the performance for income-increasing of peasant's specialized cooperatives. Then, the thesis constructs a empirical analysis framework about peasant's specialized cooperatives' influence on peasants' income. The study take the Waxberry Specialized Cooperatives of Xianju County, Zhejiang Province as an example, use linear regression models to analyse the performance for income-increasing of peasant's specialized cooperatives based on the descriptive statistics of individual characteristics, plant situation and their behavior of participating Waxberry Specialized Cooperatives. Going a step further, the study analyse different performance of different Waxberry Specialized Cooperatives, and the effect of every service item offered by the Waxberry Specialized Cooperatives. Finally, some implications and policy suggestions are put forward.The conclusions of this thesis are: (1) Peasant's specialized cooperative plays an important role in the development of peasants who plant waxberry, it helps peasants to get better technology and service, and helps peasants to produce safer agricultural products. Planting waxberry is a reliable way of making a living, while participates in the cooperative can help the peasants to obtain more economic benefits. (2) The difference in interior function and structure between specialized cooperatives leads to different income-increasing performance. Whether a specialized cooperative is successful depends on whether its service items can meet members' requirement. (3) Peasant's specialized cooperative increases peasants' income mainly by providing various kinds of service for the peasants. The service providing for the peasants mainly involves two aspects: technology and sale. As the technology is easy to imitate, the quality of the service of sale decides the performance. Based on the empirical results above, the following points are given. First, it is important to strengthen benefit jiont that links coorperatives and peasants. Second, the coorperative should improve the service items provide to members. Finally, the government should exert promotion effect.
