The Dpp's "ruling" Before And After The Cross-strait Economic And Trade Exchanges

In 2000, Taiwan independent advocator, the Democratic Progressive Party replaced the Chinese Kuomintang as the"ruling party"in Taiwan, which caused variables to the development of cross-straits relations and the peaceful unification of China. The economic and trade issue is significant for the development of two sides relations. From the academic angle, this paper researches systematically the development, present situations, influencing factors and development trends of two sides trade, and puts forward counter-measuring thoughts, which provides important theoretical significance and practical values for the development of cross-straits relations.The paper probes into the policy evolvement and situations in present communication of cross-straits economic and trade relations from historic angle; analyzes those factors that affect the normalization of cross-straits economic and trade communication and existing problems, and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for constructing harmonious environment for cross-straits economic and trade communications from theoretical angle.The main body includes three parts. Part one presents briefly the policy evolvement and present situation of cross-straits economic and trade communication before the Democratic Progressive Party's staging, and retains the concepts of"jie ji yong ren"policy and"Taiwan independence"as the main factors that hinder the development of cross-straits economic and trade communication. Part two describes the policy evolvement and present situation of cross-straits economic and trade communication after the Democratic Progress Party's ruling, and puts forward the view that although Taiwan authorities converted"open effectively, manage positively"to the new concept"manage positively, open effectively", the mainstream development of cross-straits relations can not be hindered by them. Part three introduces the development prospects and put forward some suggestions for the cross-straits economic and trade relations.The Chinese Kuomintang became the"ruling party"in Taiwan again and the principle policy was centered on the economic development.The authorities expressed that they will realize the"three direct links"between two sides on the basis of the"Common Understanding of 1992". In view of this, the paper concludes that new breakthrough can be expected in the cross-straits economic and trade relations recently.
