Globalization and regional economic integration become the trends of the world economic development in recent years. The economy and trade relations between the Mainland and Taiwan have realized quite great progress in the past 30 years, however because of political reasons, it is difficult for the two sides to deeper and wider the economic cooperation. The Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) signed in June 2011, and it is expected that, according to this agreement, the two sides can achieve a profound two-way interaction in the fields of trade and investment.Under this background, Based on the reviews of the history of economy policies and trade development between the two sides, this paper make a sound analyses on the basic status of the relationship between the two straits, in the terms of goods trade, services trade and capital flows. In goods trade, choose Agricultural trade which is of highly sensitive as an object. By studying on the history and current situation of the agricultural product trade, the paper proposes suggestions for further promoting the agricultural trade between the two sides. The tourism cooperation is chosen for the study of service Trade, and the investment cooperation is chosen for the study of capital flows. The tourism cooperation and the investment cooperation pattern was taking on an indirect and local form in a long time between the two sides, it is expected that this situation would be change under the framework of ECFA. So based on the study of the history of the tourism cooperation and the investment cooperation of the cross-straits, this paper analyses on the potentiality of the cooperation between the two sides in the tourism and investment, and at last, put forward some suggestions to promote the tourism and investment cooperation between the straits.
