The researches on organizational commitment have been mature at home and abroad.The researches on occupational commitment is mainly concentrated on the professions as teacher or health care.But the studies linked organizational commitment with occupational commitmentare very infrequent.In this paper,the object group of study is knowledge worker of companys in China,aiming at probing into the relationship between organizational commitment and occupational commitment.Firstly,we give definitions of knowledge worker, organizational commitment and occupational commitment,and expatiate organizational commitment and occupational commitment' effect on knowledge worker's action and attitude.Secondly, with the awareness and understanding of researches already,we get the dimensional structure model of organizational commitment and occupational commitment through the exploratory factor analysis on data.The organizational commitment has four dimensions:organization's environment,organization's support,organization's fairness and dependence to organization.The occpational commitment also has four dimensions: occupation's environment,gains from occupation,occpation's development and emotion to occupation.Then,we test the hypothesises of various dimensions of organizational commitment and the occpational commitment with significant relation ,and analyze influence of demographic variables and enterprise nature on dimensions of organizational commitment and occupational commitment. Empirical analysis showed that knowledge worker's organizational commitment is positive related with occupational commitment dimensions and most significantly related. This shows that knowledge worker's organizational commitment and occpational commitment can improve integratively to a certain degree.Finally, we make countermeasures and suggestions of increasing level of organizational commitment and occpational commitment from two aspects of organization management and career development management.
