Study Of The Relationship Between The Standardization Of Industrial Technology And Industrial International Competitiveness

The technology standard lies in the top of competition, which makes up of the game rules. Recently the importance of the technology standard has been understood gradually. At the meanwhile, the industrial competitiveness is another hot topic, so the relation between technology standardization and industrial competitiveness is an important practical problem.This paper analyzes the relation between technology standardization and industrial competitiveness both by theoretic and empirical ways. Firstly we sum up the past research of technology standard, and induce the economic effect of technology standardization detailedly. Then we use diamond model as theoretic frame and the past research as theoretic base, to analyze the effect of technology standardization on the factors of diamond model, which determine on the industrial competitiveness. The technology standardization affects these factors by quality regulation, compatibility, variety reduction and network effects. And then, taking china's electronic and information industry as an example, we apply the correlativity analysis and Granger Causality test to analyze the connection between the technology standardization and the industrial competitiveness. The results indicate there is a high positive correlativity between them and the standardization is the Granger cause of industrial competitiveness. The results of our theoretic and empirical research reveal that the technology standardization is an important factor of industrial competitiveness. This finding provides us a new think about how to advance the industrial competitiveness—we can take the technology standard into account. Finally, we put forward some proposal about how to advance our industrial competitiveness based on the technology standardization.
