The most intuitionistic and fundamental characteristic in the knowledge-base economy times is that knowledge , as essential productive factor, the position gains an unparalleled improvement. With the knowledge-base economy being on the rise, What enterprise owns, and unique resource are knowledge, Knowledge already becomes critical resource for enterprise to gain the competitive advantage. If Enterprise want to keep and build its competitive advantage, it must own and create knowledge right away. However the cooperation inter-organizations provide the fine platform for studying and gaining knowledge, the enterprise could improve its ability rapidly by knowledge transfer mutually and learning from each other. Therefore, people pay more attention to the problem of knowledge transfer. But Among the knowledge transfer research field, much more focus are studying the influencing factor of knowledge transfer from the knowledge character and absorptive capacity perspective.there is seldom systematically research on the topic of knowledge transfer from context perspective. The paper analyzes the knowledge transfer performance inter-organizations from the the context similarity perspective.The paper analyzes knowledge transfer process and stage inter-organizations systematically firstly. And then expound the relationship between context and context similarity and knowledge transfer, set up a theory model of inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance based on context similarity. At the same time industry category and connection mode are also brought into the studying system. The model proposes four contexts similarity affecting the knowledge transfer performance. The four contexts are culture circumstances, strategy circumstances, inner organization circumstances and inter-organizational environment circumstances. To test the model, we study 109 firms with questionnaires using factor analysis and multiple linear regressions. The results suggest that:(1) Culture context similarity has remarkable positive effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance. Inter-organizational environment context similarity has remarkable positive effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance too. Among strategy context, Strategic objective context similarity has remarkable positive effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance, but Strategy forms mechanism context similarity has remarkable negative effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance. Among inner organization context, Organization form similarity and performance assessing system context similarity have remarkable positive effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance, however inter-organizational knowledge structure context similarity has remarkable negative effect on inter-organizational knowledge transfer performance.(2)Industry has a negative effect on the knowledge transfer performance. That is to say, the knowledge transfer performance of hi-tech industries is better than the other industries. While, there is not any significant association between different connection mode and knowledge transfer performance.
