Empirical Research On Industrial Structure And The Division Of The Sichuan-chongqing Region

Regional division is the objective requirement of production socialization development; it has been the main orientation of the development of economy in nowadays.AFTA, EU, NAFTA and the Yangtz River Delta Area, the Bohai Delta, the Pearl River Delta have strengthened the regional competition through the industrial division and cooperative. Sichuan and Chongqing area is a new economic region which rising abruptly. In the new economic development pattern, the development emphasis of Sichuan and Chongqing area is strengthen regional competitive advantage to set up the Important Growth Pole of China.Based on reviewed the papers and theories, this paper point out that the similarity of industrial structures in Sichuan and Chongqing area is weakened followed"three industries-industry-subdivision industry-production",this conclusion provide conditions for building up the reasonable division system. After that, this paper analysis the regional specialization level and regional specialization industry from the visual angle of comparative advantage, development advantage and agglomerate advantage. It proposes that promoting the division further in the industry cluster is the trend of industrial division in Sichuan and Chongqing area. In addition, this paper establishes a production function model which contains labor, capital, regional division and regional specialization to estimate the economic growth effect. The positive conclusion shows that labor and capital is the main reason of the economic growth in Sichuan and Chongqing area, the effects of regional specialization has appeared, but the regional division effect has not react.The innovation of the paper is that analysis industry structure, regional division and economic growth in Sichuan and Chongqing area from dynamic and static visual angles by regional economy,industray economy and econometrics,has some theoretical and practical significances, but there are also some shortcomings, such as didn't further to the research of subdivision industry and production, the research from the angle of Industrial Chain is not enough, the empirical model is a little single and so on, it needs to be perfected in the further research.
