Dali City, Land Use / Land Cover Pattern Of Dynamic Study

The spatial expansion of urban land is the main feature of LUCC at present and even in the future.The change of urban land use/land cover,with the core content of urban expansion,has been the research focus in domestic land use/land cover(LUCC)field.Dali is one of the most important cities in Yunnan Province.Some significant ecological sensitive areas-Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake national nature reserve,Dali national scenic spot,Dali national historical city and Dali Cangshan Mountain national geological park and so on are exist in Dali.And it is also abundant in national culture resource of Bai People.Therefore,correctly handing the relation between urban development and three factors(population,resource and environment)is a key to realize the Dali sustainable development.According to the strategic deployment of Yunnan urban system construction, Dali has been established a target which is to construct the central city in Yunnan.Besides, the urbanization process of Dali is in the period of rapid development.Hence,dynamic study on Dali land use pattern has important practical significance.The thesis studied the trend of the land use pattern evolution for Dali city during 1990 to 2006 by the technique of remote sensing,landscape pattern index analyzing and mathematical statistics.Two years' Landsat TM Images are the main source of data. Meanwhile,the contemporaneous relative dates,both social and economic development data and land use data,had been collected form statistical data,such as statistical yearbook of Dali city and so on.And then,though the methods of canonical correlation analysis, correlation analysis and data analysis,analyzed the main drivers which affected the change of land use pattern in Dali during this period.Research shows that:(1)During the period from 1990 to 2006,the land use scale for urban residents land,rural residential land,forest land and agricultural land are respective with the trend of markedly increasing,while the land use scale for other land use and water are with the trend of decreasing.Regard to the resources of urban land,it is the agricultural land which gives out the maximum contribution to it,and other new proportions are form other land use and rural residential land;the new proportions for existing forest land are mainly from other land use;the new proportions for existing agricultural land are mainly from other land use and forest land;the agricultural land is the main contribution to the increasing of rural residential land;and for the transport land,it mainly transformed from agricultural land and other land use;and finally,it is the transforming into the forest land and agricultural land which results in the decreasing of the other land use.(2)Between 1990 and 2006,the number of the total patches of Dali city enhances from 5597 to 6013,in it,the agricultural land and the town construction land grows most rapidly,and the water,the countryside residential area land increases slowly,Other land patches increase are very few,But the transportation land and forest land patches'quantity presents the drop the tendency.We can see from each kind of landscape type's landscape index movement situation,the variational extent of the Splitting Index is the most remarkably,then is the Patch Density and the landscape shape index,the vatiety of the other index is little relatively.On this time,the variety of the landscape index is ordered by SPLIT＞CONNECT＞DIVISION＞SHDI＞0＞COHESION(3)It is the social and economic development of Dali city which is the main driver for the change of the land use pattern.Urbanization is an important driver for farmland decrease.While the population quantity,the urbanization rate,GDP and the proportion of the Tertiary Industry in GDP have been increased,the land use scale for build-up area, residential land use,public facilities land use and transports land use has been advanced. Furthermore,policy is another important driver which leaded to the land use pattern evolution of the city.
