With the opening to the world of the insurance market, there are more and more insurance companies in the market. The big domestic insurance companies are confronted with fierce competition. In order to win in the competition, it's becoming the key to make out correct competition strategy.It's necessary to analyze the structure of the market and the operating condition of each company before researching the strategy of the big domestic insurance companies. According to the research, although there is high concentration degree and monopolize, the big domestic insurance companies didn't obtain great amount of profit and didn't play a leading role in pricing. Therefore, we need to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat through the comparison with competitors, and then make out proper competition strategy.In the base of S-P analysis to the market and the comparison with competitors, the writer proposed that the big domestic insurance companies should adopt cost-reducing and brand variation according to the related theory about competition strategy. Among them, cost-reducing will come true through founding the effective organization, making out rational human resources system and innovating marketing channel; Brand variation concludes product variation, serve variation and enterprise culture variation.
