Research, Network Planning And Theory Of Constraints-based Manufacturing Management

The production of tooling and moulds is of a typical manufacture-to-order pattern characterized by the wide variety, small batch, low repetition, complex technological process and poor planning robustness; its production management is very difficult, and demands an effective schedule and management system. After the analysis on the production organization method of 14^th Institute of CETC, with some stress on the mould production planning and management problems, an integrated planning and management scheme based on the network planning and the theory of constraint is presented. The feature of the network planning and the advantage of TOC in the bottleneck disposition are analyzed, and the integrated planning and control method using network planning and TOC is discussed subsequently; meanwhile, for the subject's production scheme, the network plan compilation, critical path identification, resource allocation, bottleneck resource spotting, and operation priority setting in the integration of network planning and theory of constraints are studied; the implementation of the planning and control system is in described with an case.
