With the structural adjustment of the worldwide industrial economy, the tourism trade has developed into a pillar industry for the economy development of many countries. The tourism service trade is occupying a more important position in the world trade, becoming increasingly important in the economic development. The tourism service industry brings the developing countries not only opportunities but also challenges. In the field of tourism service trade, developed countries have the comparative advantage. China, being the follow-uppers in this industry, has taken great improvement in recent decade, became one of the biggest tourism country in the world. Hunan Province as a major agricultural province in central China, tourist resources in the category of natural tourism resources ranks fourth in the country. However, confronted with the rapid development of global tourism, in order to remain invincible in the opened-up tourism market, Hunan should win the comparative advantage and improve its competitive ability. So, how to apply international trade theories to guide the development of Hunan's tourism service trade? This thesis attempts to probe into this issue.This paper utilizes the theory of comparative advantage theory and industrial international competitiveness in tourism service trade and implies research on the problem of international competitiveness of tourism service trade in Hunan province. First, this article reviews the theory of international service trade and the industrial international competitiveness. The theory of international industry competitiveness would focus more on the sustainable development of the industry in the Hunan province. Second, by illustrating the current developing situation of tourism service trade in Hunan, the author uses Mr. Porter's "State Diamond" model to analyze the existing key factors which could significantly affect our international competitiveness of tourism service trade. Then this paper analyzes the influence on service trade competitive power according to Michael Porter's theory of industry competition superiority and carries on the relevance analysis on various factors to dig out the potential competitive advantages in it. Furthermore, this paper sets up an index system basing on the tourism service data of import and export and clustering analyze the tourism service trade of all provinces of our county, the results make a comparative analysis of our tourism service trade competitiveness. At last, according to the analysis results, this paper makes out the strategy to improve international competitive power in tourism service trade such as: reinforce the government's hatching function; impel urbanization construction; take domestic service demand; cultivate high ands specialized elements; encourage tourism enterprise to innovate and so on.
