With the development of economy and globalization, enormous change has happened in political, economical and social environment, and customers' consumption level has been improved, so the competition between enterprises aggravates gradually. Many different advanced technologies and management methods are adopted by enterprises in order to increase their competence. In the global market, an enterprise has been no longer a single entity to compete with other enterprises, it has been a part of a supply chain, and the competition between enterprises has become the one between supply chains. Supply chain is a dynamic network in the competitive, collaborative and dynamic environment which is composed of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and customers, and responds to changes quickly.A supply network is composed of many enterprises between which have lots of complex relations, and it is affected by other supply chains and market environment, so it is a typical complex network. At present, researches about supply chains are mainly about some microscope problems, there is a lack of whole behavior research about supply chains. So it has great theoretical significance and practical value to research supply networks' whole behavior, growth and emergence rules based on complex network theory.The paper builds a local-world evolving growth model of the complex supply chain network. First, the basic conceptions and a general literature review are presented, and the motivation and main ideas of this paper are given. Next the complex system and complex networks are introduced and the characteristics of complex networks and some typical models are presented. Based on the complex system theory and complex network theory, we analyze the complexity of the supply network and discuss its properties. At last, on the basis of the simple local-world evolving network model, we advance the selection of the local-world considering characteristics of the supply chain, and propose a local-world evolving growth model of the complex supply chain network. Using analytical computing, we get the formula of degree distribution, cluster coefficient and average path length, and find this network model possessing complex networks' characteristics like scale-free and small-world.
