Kunming Tourism Satellite Account (2002) Build

Tourism is one of the most important industry in Kunming.The tourism revenue grows from 3 billions in 1995 to 14.1 billions in 2002. Tourism industry plays very important role in the social economy. So how to account the Tourism Value Added (TVA), and how to evaluate tourism industry's economic influence power of Kunming correctly and thoroughly is a very useful and helpful issue. The author attempt to research on it and try to resolve this problem.In this paper, the analysis of Kunming's tourism industry reveals the necessity and importance of building TSA. On the basis of introducing the TSA's principles and theories, we can define and adjust the basic indicators and the tables. Finally set up TSA of Kunming by Kunming Tourism Statistics data.We come to following conclusions: Kunming province's direct Tourism Value Added of 2002 was 4.841 billions Yuan, 6.54 percent of the Kunming's entire GDP, and indirect Tourism Value Added was 5.302 billions Yuan, 7.16 percent of the province's GDP. As a member of the tertiary industry , the tourism industry plays a leading role in Kunming, and it is an impetus to the whole social and economical development, it plays a very important role in Kunming. The conclusions prove that tourism industry should be first developed in Kunming is a correct propose .
