The construction of income distribution system adapted to modernized enterprise system is highly requisite to enterprises' survival and development as well as for enhancing their core competency in market's competition. In recent years, many of public institutions have been reformed to state-owned enterprises and separated as the accessorial departments from the main institutions as well as the state-owned enterprises have been reformed to stock companies. Meanwhile, the private-owned enterprises' rapid development needs the proper adjustments of compensation system for adaptation to enterprises' development as well as to support the implementation of companies' strategic goal. Such situation is a big challenge to compensation management.Travel agency industry is regarded as the stanchion industry of tourism industry. It is an important bridge of connecting traveling needs and offerings whilst brings extremely important effects on development of national economy and improvements of citizens' standard of living. Since carrying out reform and opening policy, our travel agency industry has achieved huge developments. The tourism industry level has been developed from almost zero to currently world wide ranked as top fifth. The invaluable contributions devoted by travel agency industry cannot be neglected. Whereas, no matter the national government or custody departments have not built up a set of travel agency compensation system that adapted to the market economy system and modern enterprise system. This led to current compensation system of this industry is not normative and unreasonable. The objective of this essay is to have some researches on the compensation theories whilst design a set of compensation system that adaptive to travel agency industry according to management characters of this industry to further facilitate the construction of our nation's scientific and normative travel agency compensation system.Based on researches about local and overseas scholars' definition on compensation, basic forms of compensation, compensation control under the environment of modern market economy as well as the all-sided analysis and evaluation of modern enterprise compensation theory, the research object of this essay is the reform of compensation system in accordance with the reform of the listing company which was reconstructed from a state-owned travel agency in Beijing. This essay introduces the travel agency's organization system, personnel structure and main responsibilities; expatiates on essential considerations regarding compensation reform and its main assignments; adopts the method of points calculation by grading of main factors for staffs' performance assessment, composes Travel Agency Working Performance Assessment Standard System and classifies the position level according to assessment points; establishes the compensation structure and its calculation and distribution methods in accordance with actual situation of travel agencies; presents constructive solutions on travel agency's compensation system..
