Hb Company's Supply Chain Inventory Optimization

Currently, we are in face of fierce competition in all lines surrounding global economy. Under this situation, how to consistently satisfy our customers and further implement cost reduction. These are top priority problem to companies. In this paper, we discuss HB high inventory problem and take actions to decline inventory basing on whole supply chain scope. We believe that it is worthy of being learned to similar enterprise/company with high inventory.Traditional inventory management is that company only focus on his own inventory problems to seek for continuous cost reduction. But this control method is out of date. We should strive for more appropriate measures/tools to comply with current situation. Currently products' lifecycle become more short, and we should satisfy customers' high demand due to global economy& communication technica boom and so on. It is impossible that company would like to win competitors relying on previous alone conflict. Company should consider of the whole supply chain to seek for continuous cost reduction strategy. In this paper, After fully analyzing current inventory of HB company, we found the root cause. They separately are idle SAP, deviation forecast and vague responsibility of different departments. After effective handling, we smooth our internal operation. In order to further reduce cost, decrease inventory ,satisfy our customers and improve our competency, we should adopt concept of whole supply chain and control our inventory. Under instructed by theory, we put forward to some inventory control and management strategy according to actuality. At last, HB inventory has been effectively decreased. Optimization of HB supply chain's inventory becomes reality.
