With the acceleration of China's urbanization process, the expropriation of country land has become the main approach for the new increase of construction land and the enlargement of city size. However, a large number of "five noes" peasants, who cultivate land while having no land, enter the city with no job, remove with no homestead, become citizens with no social security, or have no way to claim their rights, have come up behind this large-scale 'new enclosure movement'. The edge of cities is just like battlefield full of smoke of gunpowder and the conflict resulted from expropriation may at any moment be intensified. Meanwhile, the number of the excessively expropriated land is shocking by the sight, which directly endangers the safety of food supplies and reasonable use of land. One of the outstanding problems in the expropriation of the country land is the compensation system of land expropriation, which has an impact on the protection of country land, the interest of peasants and the stability of the society. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an all round study on the compensation system of land expropriation. This thesis consists of four parts. The first part sets forth the significance of the compensation system of land expropriation, literature of study, and the methods and framework of this study. The second part specifies the general situation, the constitution ground and the theory basis, and the significance of the compensation system of land expropriation. The third part analyzes the existing problems in the scope, standard, method and procedure of the compensation system of land expropriation. The fourth part expatiates on the defects and reasons of China's compensation system of land expropriation, overseas mature experience, the management of compensation fees and the unearned increment of land expropriation.
