In the light of present developing situation of home market economics, many large international companies invested in China, which makes the competition among domestic enterprises extremely sharp. The thesis expounded about 6S management i.e. how to strengthen the competitive ability, tighten up the management standard, improve the production environment and raise staffs accomplishes. The thesis is divided into 5 sections: the first one is introduction, the second one, the origin and elementary knowledge of 6S, the third one, the implement of 6S, the fourth one, the implement example—the 6S management practices at Fengfan Co. Ltd and the fifth one, the conclusion.First of all the thesis expounded the development course from the initial 2S to 5S and 6S even 7S, 8S and 9S. It expounded the applying conditions of 6S at enterprises in both Japan and China. It expounded the relationship among 6S i.e. Seiri, Seition, Seiso, Seiketsu, safety and Shitsuke. It also expounded the relationship among 6S and ISO9000 quality system, Total Quality Control (TQC), Total Production Management (TPM), Just in Time (JIT) and Enterprises Resource Plan (ERP) etc. 6S is the important basic management and is a precondition and strong support for carrying out other advantage management systems and methods. It gives a detailed discussion on implement process of 6S management and raises several methods for effectively carrying out it including the red card fighting, fixed point shooting, regular washing and the use of 3U-MEMO. In order to expound how to carry out every S the thesis discussed the main points of carrying out every S, principles and steps. The thesis introduced the situation of carrying out 6S management at writer's company Fengfan Co. Ltd, listed the methods and steps as well as problems and its settlement adopted by Fengfan. The thesis uses the actual figures to prove that 6S management should bring enterprises a long-term benefit. The thesis at last comes to the conclusion from the theory study and applied examples that 6S management should reduce the enterprise cost, guarantee the product quality, guarantee the production safety, raise the accomplishes of staffs, raise enterprise images and strengthen the competitive ability.The thesis is an applied one. The writer combined 6S management theory with the actual situation of enterprise and expounded the good effect obtained by enterprises from applying 6S management.
