In recent years, due to the proliferation of computers and the Internet on a global scale with the rapid and sophisticated development, it provide a rich source of information for people to search and access to useful information, at the same time the rapid expansion of information in various fields of Society and led to the current mass of information on the Internet was exponential growth, the contradiction between the " rich Data and poor knowledge " became more and more prominent, users in different fields look forward to finding their desired knowledge from these mountains of data and information, and above increasingly serious conflicts also hindered the search, access and maintenance for knowledge.At present, the world has entered the time of knowledge economy, the knowledge competitive capacity has been an important criterion to measure a country or a region's comprehensive competitiveness, consequently, only effective organization and management of knowledge could effectively stimulate more knowledge of application and creativity, could meet the strong demand of the users in various fields to realize the knowledge sharing and reuse. And on the current situation of knowledge application, it is too far to meet people's expectations, a deep reason is the quality and standards of the knowledge models. The quality of knowledge models directly affects the performance of knowledge processing, for example high-quality knowledge models can provide to users a clear, interactive knowledge systems and to facilitate more efficient in their work and so on. But the highly non-uniform of construction standards result in the different description of same knowledge, influence on the understanding and sharing of knowledge. Although there has been a lot of theory and methods of knowledge models, but they are all derived from the different developers using different construction methods, development tools and platforms in different practical applications, so certainly there are kinds of defects, severely limit the reusing and sharing of knowledge. In the front of new environment and new problems, it is impossible to maximize the efficient use of the various existing knowledge models, this is a waste.Last century 90's ontology was introduced to the field of information science and knowledge engineering from the philosophy, Because of such advantages of the uniqueness and accuracy of understanding at knowledge expression, in addition, the good concept level of structure and the supporting of logical reasoning, it could be considered to use ontology to build a knowledge representation model. This paper studies the domain-ontology-based knowledge modeling, namely, how to use the ontological theory and approach to modeling the knowledge model, realize knowledge sharing and reuseing.In this paper, ontology theory and knowledge modeling issues were briefly recalled. Although current the academic understanding of ontology is not completely unified, however, Gruber, Studer and others put forward the concept of ontology have been recognized by the majority of people, many scholars have put forward the concept of ontology have common characteristics, that the conceptualization, formal specification, a clear and common recognition of objective reality. The five elements of ontology: categories, attributes, relations, axioms and examples of the concept are popular. As the developing of the knowledge modeling method, domain ontology in knowledge engineering, Semantic Web and other areas have received a wide range of applications.This paper lies in an important area of domain-ontology-oriented knowledge modeling method. Obviously, when carrying out knowledge modeling, except to select the appropriate language to express, necessarily need a good methodology as a guide. At present, several influential ontology modeling methods were experiences in the course of the study in practical projects, they keep the pros and cons of each, and are different. Although most scholars have recognized ontology building should have its own set of methodology, but so far there is not emerging a guidance of the sophisticated methodology cam satisfy with all parties. The paper compare to several existing modeling methods, combine the knowledge of ontology engineering, software engineering and other fields which related to this content, proposed the "domain- ontology-oriented progressive feedback method", and under the guidance of the methodology, used protégé3.1-- Ontology creation tools to aiding modeling, chose OWL knowledge representation language to integrate the knowledge of the field of discipline-paper, realized the sharing and reusing of domain knowledge. Of course, as a result of human, material and time constraints, there are still many unsatisfactory places in the model, in addition, the realization of domain ontology is itself an open, need to continuously refined and improved process in order to obtaining the greatest degree of knowledge sharing and reusing, Therefore, the follow-up study of the evolution and perfection of the work has become particularly important.
