Application Research On Ontology In Knowledge Management System

With the all-around popularization and development of Internet, web has become the main platform of all kinds of network information. However, tremendous information which is increased by exponent makes the valuable knowledge submerge into the information sea. The problem of abundant data and indigent knowledge has become more and more prominent. Users find it more difficult to research, visit, express and maintain information. With the looking forward and forecast needs to advanced technology in the national defense management department, to construct knowledge management system, to associate and mine automatically relevant knowledge from tremendous information quickly turn into a very significant work.According to the disadvantage in the traditional knowledge management system, this paper has an embedded research and construct about knowledge management system based on ontology. Firstly, the paper introduces connotations, function and the related technology about knowledge management and knowledge management system. Ontology, ontology theory and ontology constructing technology are expounded. Then combined with the practical needs of our national defense industry information analysis, a world national defense industry organizations and products association mining system based on ontology is designed to track the developed countries'industry product and applied technology, dynamic information of the manufacture organization.The core of the system is to construct the association rules based on ontology. As a result, to establish the ontology which is suitable for system needs is the emphases and foundation for system construction. The ontological theories, methods, languages and tools have been studied roundly in the dissertation on the basis of a large number of documents and web pages. Protégé3.2 is applied to construct the world defense industry organizations and products ontology. More than 400 instances of world defense industry organizations and its products are added, and 24 organizations have the integrated attribution fill values. And through the practice, it summarizes a kind of constructing method regarding domain ontology. Finally, the constructed ontology is exhibited and inquired viewablly.
