The global financial crisis that hit the world in 2008 has posed great challenges to china's real estate developers.The sharp decrease in terms of housing price and transaction scale blogged a great number of real estate companies,even some large players in business predicament and thus highlighted the deep problems with traditional expansion mode. From the perspective of strategic management,the core reason lies in lack of well-defined market core as well as a feasible system that ensure the matching of the resources and competence with the core.Given the profound changes in the competitive environment of china's real estate market,It is high time for the companies to evaluate and transform their development strategy.Based on the analysis of the development trend that characterizes the fledging real estate market,the paper represents a preliminary study on the strategy transformation efforts that a medium-sized real estate developer has made.Among the others,the paper illustrates the issues of strategic position,strategic target and corresponding strategic execution system.
