China's economy has maintained stable and rapid development since the reform and opening up. Meanwhile, China's foreign trade of high-tech products is booming and has played an important role in China's economic development. The ratio of China's high-tech products import and export to foreign trade has continued to increase. Based on experience of the past economic development, China continues to adjust the way of economic development. It is a great historical task to enhance China's capacity for independent innovation and make China an innovative country; to accelerate transformation of the mode of economic development; to promote upgrading of the industrial structure during the "Eleventh Five Years Plan". And the independent innovation and optimizing the economic structure have high place in the "Eleventh Five Years Plan". Furthermore, put the development of high-tech industries and optimizing the economic structure at primary position. Therefore, I begin to study this economy situation. Firstly, based on detailed data and information, this paper introduces the situation of China's high-tech products trade, and the role of high-tech products trade in adjustment and development of tertiary industries. Meanwhile, pointed out that there are also problems when high-tech products trade boomed in China, including foreign-funded enterprises are the major sector of high-tech products trade and the processing trade is main means; the restrict factors on imports of high-tech products still exist; different types of high-tech products have distinct export competitiveness. Secondly, this paper get the result that the manufacturing (without high-tech products) is still the major force on our country's economic growth, high-tech industry has not become a major force in economic growth yet. It is mean that China's economic restructuring has not reached the expected target, has to restructure in the future. Finally, pointed out that China needs to promote trade, encourage the development of high-tech industries, and encourages foreign investment into high-tech industries, to promote the development of China's high-tech products trade.
