Manufacturing company pursues optimized transportation network by setting up Raw Material Centralized Purchasing-Dispatching Warehouse with the objective to reduce transportation cost. Based on raw material demand forecast, warehouse site selection can be decided. All of current downstream branch plants are candidates of warehouse in optimization model. Considering future fluctuation possibility, the robustness of optimization result is given. In Chapter Two, the previous transportation network model is described. And the quantity of raw materials and transportation mode in transportation lines are analyzed. In Chapter Three, a mathematical model for raw material demand forecast is first built. The demand forecast of next 5 years is then calculated based on the history record of raw material demand from 12 Asia branches in last 10 years. In Chapter Four, the elements, which will impact the site selection, is analyzed. The optimization transportation network model is built up and the result is calculated by introducing the 5 years demand forecast into new model. Then the result is compared with previous model to prove that new model is soundness. In Chapter Five, the robustness of optimization model is tested. The validity of the model is tested in different conditions in transportation environment.Chapter Six concludes the thesis and also rise up the hope for future deep investigation.
