With the social economy developing, the notion of mass customization has been introduced to support the rising individual and various customers'demand in high volumes at reasonably low costs. It is the important means for the enterprises to improve the market share by customization for the customers. If a mass customization enterprise wants to design and manufacture in a customization way which depends on efficient and speed. It is important to get customers'individuating demands quickly, accurately, and then store, trim and analyze these demands so as to turn these first hand data into useful information which is available for production operation directly. Thus, the precondition and basis of successful implementation of mass customization lies very much on how to collect and understand customers'demands, to deal with the uncertainty, instability, inconsistently and dynamic change of demands, then implement these operations in every link of product development. These key points are also vital important for quick implementation of effective, low cost, as well as high quality mass customization.The paper firstly conducts a systemic study on mass customization and its customer demands. It also classifies the customer demands from the angle of customers and enterprises, and analyses factors for affecting the customer demands, and summarizes its character for mass customization. Next, the paper analyzes the reason and the danger for uncertainty of the customer demands when adopting mass customization and gives the standard of the effective customer demands. It introduces the merit of the effective customer demand and the process of the effective demand management, and constructs customer demand process model for mass customization. Then, the paper researches how to get the customer demands from marketing researches, enterprise information portal and web. Finally, the paper makes a research on customer demands'weighted coefficient with the grey rational analysis, clusters customer demand with the fuzzy clustering analysis and researches correlation with the help of the correlation analysis.
