Consumption Of Rural Residents Contribution To Economic Growth, Empirical Research

Investment, consumption and export trade are "Troika" driving the growth of a country's economy However, since China's economic reform and opening up for more than 30 years of rapid growth has been mainly driven by investment, and consumption was in a weak state. Compared with investment and export trade, the expansion of consumer demand as an important means to increase the pace of economic development and enhance economic growth, is of great significance to maintain good and fast economic development. Especially in the background that our country currently is into global financial crisis and domestic demand is of serious shortage, how to activate the consumer market, especially the one in rural areas more has particular important research value. Chongqing, as the only western municipality directly governed to China's central government and state-level demonstration zones to develop the economy, an empirical research on its the relationship between consumption of rural residents and economic growth, can not only further improve the economic theory of consumption, but can also provide an important reference value and countermeasures for the government departments to start consumption in rural areas. In addition, research results also provide useful experience for China's western region.Based on the dynamic synthesis of consumption of rural residents and associated theory of economic growth, this paper firstly give an analysis of the status quo of consumption of rural residents in Chongqing and its characteristics. Secondly, an in-depth discussion on the mechanism of consumption of rural residents in Chongqing to economic growth is conducted, and an empirical analysis is carried out on the consumption of rural residents in Chongqing Municipality to identify the factors which have constrained consumption of rural residents in Chongqing and economic growth. Finally, this paper forecasts rural residents'consumption in Chongqing and put forward to benign countermeasures and proposals for the promotion of consumption of rural residents in Chongqing and stimulating economic growth. The full text is composed of six chapters:ChapterⅠ: Introduction. This chapter focuses on the research background, purpose and significance of research; on review of research on consumer spending and economic growth at home and abroad; research ideas, methods and possible innovations are given descriptions.Chapter II: The Mechanism of Economic Growth Analysis of Household Consumption in Rural Areas of Chongqing. This chapter mainly uses qualitative analysis method, defines related concepts of consumption and economic growth, and discusses the mechanism of the total consumer demand and consumer demand structure on economic growth.Chapter III: Analysis of the Status Quo of Rural Residents Consumption in Chongqing and Economic Growth. In this chapter, on the basis of the arrangement of a large amount of data, the status quo of rural residents'consumption in Chongqing and economic growth is described, and constraints factors of rural residents'consumption are to be identified.Chapter IV: Empirical Analysis of the contribution of rural residents'consumption to economic growth in Chongqing Municipality. This chapter uses regression analysis and input-output analysis to measure the contribution of consumption of rural residents and urban residents in Chongqing to economic growth from the absolute and relative point and to the national economy, and made a comparative analysis correspondingly.Chapter V: Linear Neural Network Prediction of Rural Residents'consumption expenditure structure in Chongqing. This chapter mainly forecasts the consumer trend according to principles of linear neural networks in rural areas of Chongqing Municipality, and concluded that: the production consumption demand of rural residents is gradually weakening; the share of development of the consumption expenditure is gradually increasing and the share of the enjoyment of consumption expenditure also gradually increases.Chapter VI: The Path Choices and Suggestions to Promote the Consumption of Rural Residents in Chongqing and Stimulate Benign Economic Growth. This chapter put forward mainly countermeasures and proposals from the following four aspects to improve rural household consumption and stimulate benign economic growth: to improve the social security system in rural areas and to increase rural residents'income; to make efforts to build a system of coordinated development of urban and rural industries; to strengthen the market and open market distribution channels in urban and rural areas; to strengthen the guidance of rational consumption of rural residents and optimize the consumption structure.This paper carries out empirical analysis of the contribution of rural residents'consumption to economic growth combined with empirical analysis and normative analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The main innovation lies in: 1, measuring the contribution of rural residents'consumption to the national economy departments in Chongqing accurately by using the input-output method from the relative number and absolute number expands the research space;2, using linear neural network in rural areas of Chongqing Municipality to predict consumer trends, so this article is more fully and scientific research; 3,putting forward the concept of strengthening rational consumption from the consumer's view, and countermeasures and proposals of driving consumption of rural residents is a new perspective.
