Theoretical And Empirical Analysis Of The Competitive Evaluation Of The Regional Financial Center

As the effect of the financial in modern economy development increasingly enhanced, the theoretical research of related regional financial competitiveness used in regional economic competitiveness research is appearing very important. At the present stage of China, the financial is in the rapid development period, the role of financial has been depth to all aspects of social and economic life. In particular since the accession to the WTO, the pace of opening up financial markets further accelerates, and evaluation and analysis all-round to the financial competitiveness are of great significance to full understanding and accurate grasp of the Chinese national conditions and strength and international competitiveness, and promoting the long-term growth of China's financial competitiveness and the sustainable development of financial sector.Started with the theory of the regional financial center, we have made in-depth analysis of the theoretical basis of regional financial center, the choice of evaluation of regional financial competitiveness, furthermore, from a practical point of view, have established a regional financial center competitiveness evaluation index system. In this article, the regional financial center competitiveness indicators are divided into two aspects: First, the revealed index system, including 7 indicators; Second, the interpretative index system, including economic development, opening strength, urban development three aspects. Such index system could be more completely and accurately reflect the region's financial competitiveness level. Selecting the central region, everybody concerns at present, as a study area, we have taken the regional financial competitiveness evaluation of Changsha as empirical analysis, and have used principal component analysis method to evaluate the Changsha' financial competitiveness, and have made reasonable explanation to the evaluation results. Then, according to the front empirical analysis and combining with the current status quo of Changsha, we have done a SWOT Analysis on Changsha' financial competitiveness. Finally, according to the advantages and disadvantages of Changsha' financial competitive we have proposed some countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of the regional financial center of Changsha.
