Jiangxi Regional Competitiveness Study

In recent years, the macro-background of international and domestic economic situation are taking place profoundly. With the global integration trend of economic enhanced gradually, regional competitiveness is increasingly becoming a decisive factor which accesses the competitive advantage of domestic even international. The enormous difference of Inter-regional development is one of the core issues in of economic growth theory. Accompanied by the state to implement different policies for different regions, how to achieve a sustainable and healthy development of regional economy, we must take effective measures to enhance regional competitiveness. The strength of regional competitiveness can become the primary factor which decides the rapid of economic growth of Jiangxi Province.In this paper, the topic is the regional competitiveness, the relevant theoretical issues will be explored, such as the content of the regional competitiveness , characteristics and sources. And on these basis's,regional competitiveness will be analyzed from the perspective of economics. At the same time, through studying with the models, the enterprises competitiveness,the industrial competitiveness, the open competitiveness and regional competitiveness are combined together, then I put forward a new model of regional competitiveness. According to the models and the practice of Chinese regions, I'll design a set of distinctive evaluation index system of regional competitiveness. Then we'll find that the strength of regional competitiveness not only depends on the elements, but also depends on the structure, operation mechanism and the relationship between the external environment. All of these will enrich and improve the study of regional competitiveness .In my paper,the competitiveness of Jiangxi and the other five provinces of central parts of China are my research subjects,I'll select the number of indicators which are involved in broader aspects. This paper focused on the development of economic in Jiangxi Province for the past years,which will apply SPSS software and use the methods of AHP, principal component analysis and factor analysis to study the rank of Jiangxi Province in the central of six provinces. I'll analyses the relative strength of Jiangxi Province's regional competitiveness, which will reflect the changes in regional competitiveness. Based on the analysis method of SWOT, I'll focus on the advantages and disadvantages in Jiangxi's economic, and the opportunities and challenges which encountered in social development. In the end I'll put forward to some specific recommendations to enhance the Jiangxi's competitiveness which will accelerate to achieve the goal of Jiangxi rising from the central area.
