E-procurement Project Management

Along with the EC times coming, the new business models rapidly breed. Enterprise is no longer used for artificial ways to buy and sell their products. Under the new business model, the business dealing becomes seamlessly along with the coupling of the buyer and seller via the Internet. It comes out the surprising results: the business process becomes quite automatically; the supplier relationship becomes coupled closely; the service quality has got the great improvement; and the cost has been reduced a lot. All the changes are the parts of the bran-new purchasing environment. Nowadays, the enterprises have huge potential to changing their competition ability.This paper started with the researching and analysis on the status of procurement management inside and outside the country, researched and analyzed the EC implementation on the purchasing logistics, and talked about several e-procurement models. Also this paper addressed the e-procurement system in the following modules: supplier relationship management and evaluation, the re-engineering of the e-procurement organization, e-procurement plan, e-procurement processing management, e-procurement cost management and the security of the e-procurement.At last this paper concluded that e-procurement implementation in the enterprise is affected by many factors, and management factors can not be ignored with the implementation of application systems of information technology, so the introduction of project management in e-procurement is necessary. Project Management theory should be more widely used.
