In accordance with "National Expressway Network Plan", China's total highway mileage will be 6,500 thousand km in 2010. The annual investment will be 140-150 billion Chinese Yuan. Besides, the annual investment will be about 100 billion Chinese Yuan in next decade. It is predicted that China's annual consumption of road asphalt will be between 1200 and 1,500 million tons in the period of "Eleventh Five-Year". Following the continuing prosperity of China's highway construction and other areas, demand for asphalt will grow rapidly. In particular, in 2008, in order to cope with the international financial crisis, the national launch of 4 trillion investment plan will increase the demand for asphalt. Bitumen industry development of China will be getting better. Meanwhile, the increasingly fierce international competition has become the status quo in the asphalt industry, which will be faced in the future.By studying the market situation, demand, forecast and the strategy of the asphalt industry, this article aims to provide the enterprise strategic analysis for the domestic enterprises so that domestic enterprises could seize the opportunity, use local advantages, grow rapidly, become bigger and stronger in an open market environment. So the domestic enterprise can compete with foreign companies until our asphalt industry becomes healthy. And I hope this article can help the upcoming entry and individuals too.
