Reform and opening up the past three decades, our country has experienced rapid economic growth, but employment growth is relatively slow. Especially since the latter half of nineties, the unemployment rate by increasing rather than reducing. The employment pressure is increasing. Consider the general economic theory, economic growth and employment growth are positively correlated, however, in our country economic growth was inconsistent with the employment-there was a "high-growth, low employment" phenomenon. It performed specifically in the continuing downward trend of employment elasticity. This article is on China's economic growth and employment data for analysis, with a view to explain the causes of this phenomenon.In this paper, empirical analysis and normative analysis, mainly empirical analysis: including description analysis and econometric analysis. Separately from the total relationship, the incremental relationship, the relationship between the three industries and "other coins side "-economic growth and unemployment, they are analyzed. This paper mainly includes the following six parts.Chapter 1 is preface. It includes subjects of this thesis, research methods and thesis structure.Chapter 2, Theory and Literature Review, mainly combing economic theory associated with this paper, the results of academia research in order to determine the direction of the research in this article.Chapter 3 makes empirical analysis of the economic growth and employment growth. From the total aspects of China's economic growth and employment, give a detailed description of the statistical data and make a more scientific and standardized quantitative analysis.Chapter 4, the employment effects of three industries, calculating separately the employment elasticity, the output value structure and employment structure of three industries, analyzes the relationship between economic growth and employment from the point of view of industrial structure.Chapter 5, economic growth and unemployment-Okun's Law examination, further from other side of the topic of this article, that is:economic growth and unemployment. Mainly make a test for Okun's Law, which corroborated the earlier part drawn about the relationship between economic growth and employment conclusions.Chapter 6 is the concluding part of this article, to explain the phenomenon of "high-growth, low employment" on the basis of e analysis and academia research. Further put forward some countermeasures and proposals.
