Through the compensation system research of the XP post office, the essay narrates the successful experiences of such compensation system and the deficiencies of such compensation design. The thesis of this essay is analyzing the causes and consequences of those deficiencies and the improving steps.Firstly, the essay compares the theories of compensation management at home and abroad and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the compensation management methods. The research illustrates that the compensation management based on the broadband salary system can solve the disadvantages of the compensation system in the XP post office effectively.The essay summarizes the present status of the compensation system in the XP post office, especially focused on the existing disadvantages which are:the disconnection between the establishment of such compensation system and the enterprise's developing strategy; the key factor of the compensation discrepancy based on the professional discrepancy; both nuclear and non-nuclear employees' compensation departing from the market level non-strategically; lacking emphasizing the employees'internal compensation; lacking the variety of payroll upgrading; the payment not accordance with the performance, etc.. Accordingly, the paper proposes the possible solutions to the current problems.
