The Village Bank Structure Of Property Rights And Governance Mechanisms Designed

Rural economy is developing fast in China, and demand of financial products has risen up quickly. Thus, our country made experiments on village bank. It increase the quantity of financial institutions in rural, and enhance healthy competitions. However, there are many problems for us to solve. This thesis attempts to do designs on ownership structure and governance mechanism of village bank to solve problems.Based on the new institutional economics theory and modern corporate governance theory, this thesis used comparative studies, descriptive statistics and functions to analyze ownership structure and governance mechanisms of village banks in China. First, using successful experiences on Grameen Bank and the United States community banks to study its functions. Then, made analysis on ownership concentration of 86 village banks in mathematical functions, and did SPSS descriptive statistics composition on its shareholders, identified the main problems of property rights structure, and designed property rights promoter system. Next, made designs on internal governance, introduced professional managers, and did reforms on the existing board of village banks. In addition, if natural persons, on-banking institutions and foreign investors to launch a village bank, the external governance should be make differences from regulatory focus. In the end, used xiaolan village bank as a case, according to the research contents of this article, studied its functions, ownership structure and governance mechanisms, and put forward some development proposals.As current theories on village bank is relatively small, this thesis made significant in both theory and in solving practical problems. Innovations of this article are:First, analyze the equity component concentration and shareholder point of ownership structure on village bank. Second, put forward domestic and foreign natural persons, non-banking institutions as the initiators of village banks.Third,made design of ownership structure and governance mechanism on village bank.
