There are many empirical study on the relationship between personality and performance in foreign countries, but only few domestic-related empirical research on this project. This study used a questionnaire survey to investigate the multinational pharmaceutical company marketing personnel, in order to draw a conclusion about the relationship between personality and performance in specific occupations. The result will help establish the recruiting system, training systems and career development of multinational pharmaceutical companies. On the one hand, the study will promote efficiency of human resources management and improve the performance of the multinational pharmaceutical marketers; On the other hand, will accelerate the development of China's pharmaceutical market.Based on the Big Five personality inventory, and the sample of China's multinational pharmaceutical marketers, this study investigates the relationship of personality and job performance through data collection, statistics and analysis. China's best marketers personalized medicine model is discussed. The empirical results show that for the multinational pharmaceutical marketing, sex, age, education level make no significant difference in personality traits on the marketing staff, however, different tenure shows different conscientiousness . Besides, for the need of specific knowledge in the pharmaceutical marketing, Educational background has a significant impact on the performance of pharmaceutical marketers. Referring to the personality traits, the conscientiousness of the multinational pharmaceutical marketers has a significant impact on the performance in particular. The above results are useful for cross-marketing personnel selection and training provides a scientific and theoretical basis to the practice.
