Large-scale Manufacturing Enterprises Of Fixed Assets, Business Process Modeling And Applied Research

Along with the fast development of enterprise information construction in our country, many enterprises have introduced various management information systems. Then, good business process is very important. Fixed assets are the source of enterprise efficiency and the large manufacturing enterprises is a typical asset-intensive enterprise. Therefore, the high-level of fixed asset management can reduce their costs and improve their core competitiveness. In order to improve the fixed asset management level of the large manufacturing enterprises of our country, the "11th Five-Year" National Key Technology R&D Program Projects "study on the Enterprise Asset Management Information System (EAM) of the China Tin Group Co.,Ltd." is founded. Under the grant of the project, the investigation is done of the modeling of the main business processes and the information system of the fixed assets management of the China Tin Group Co.,Ltd., which is the representation of large-scale manufacturing enterprises in this dissertation.There are several methods used for the modeling of business process. Through analysis and comparison, Petri nets are a better choice because of the strict mathematical definitions and analysis method. Therefore, Petri nets were selected as the modeling tool in this dissertation.The business processes of the fixed assets management of the China Tin Group Co.,Ltd. were selected as the object for the business process reengineering study. And the fixed assets management process were designed. Finally, the Petri nets modeling of these processes were established, and the activity, reachability, boundedness were verified. The results show that these processes were correct and feasible.A set of fixed asset management information system was developed based on the business processes of the fixed assets management that had been designed for China Tin Group Co.,Ltd., which had used the Oracle 10g and the B/S/D technology.
