| The Minimum Wage is specialized to protect the rights and interests of the Low-level workers. However, the disputes regarding to the Minimum Wage system and Minimum Wage standard have not been stopped since its establishment. China established the Minimum Wage system in 1994, and experienced a process of implementing in part of area to whole area. The standard of the Minimum Wage has experienced a process from improved slowly to adjustment in system.Peasant workers is a new problem emerged after the Opening-up and Renovation Period, it is also a right and efficient way to deal with the surplus labors in the rural area. Peasant workers have made important contributions to the industry development of China society and become an important part of the enterprise workers. However, the rights and interests of the peasant workers have not been protected well. The Minimum Wage is one of the systems to protect the legal rights and interests of the peasant workers.The present thesis attempts to make a survey of the relationship between the Minimum Wage and the employment of peasant workers based on 1). the current special period of China transforming from the agriculture country to the industry country,2). the labor-intensive processing and manufacturing will be existed in a long time in China, and 3). the supply curve and demand curve of the peasant workers market. The relationship between the Minimum Wage and the employment of peasant workers is not a one-way relationship, but a complicated relationship. In the period of the rapid development of economic, the improvement of the Minimum Wage suitable will not only not impact the jobs supplied by the enterprises or the employment of the peasant workers, but benefit the improvement of the life standard; while in the recession, the improvement of the Minimum Wage will increase the cost of the emprise, and have a negative impact to the employment of the peasant works because the enterprise is inability to expand the production to. offset the increased cost, and has to reduce the number jobs supplied by the enterprise. On the aforesaid mentioned, the present thesis proposes that the formulation of the minimum wage should be based on the actual development of the socio-economic adapt. |
