Finance is the core of modern economy, which plays a vital role in economic development.However,it also brings financial risk to the market while it plays a role in promoting the development of the economy.Therefore, it has been a worldwide problem that how to supervise the financial market effectively.Most economists agree that the United States and other Western countries' financial deregulation and institutional deficiencies are the main reason for the financial crisis. Strengthening financial supervision to address the financial crisis has become a global consensus. China's financial sector is in a period of accelerated development, financial sector presents a mixed operation of the trend, and our current financial regulatory system exists many problems,such as regulatory vacuum, regulatory inefficiency, etc. It is not conducive to financial development, and effectively guard against financial risks.In order to improve the efficiency of financial supervision and enhance the competitiveness of the financial sector,and to effectively guard against financial risks to ensure sound operation of the financial industry, we needs to explore the establishment of conditions for the modernization of our financial regulatory model.This article defers to the logic clue of "raise problems, analyze problems and solveproblems",starting from the basic theory of financial regulation, summarizing the development of major developed countries experiences and lessons, analyzed that the financial crisis exposed the shortcomings of financial regulation and the future direction of development of financial supervision.
